Trinity College needed a website that could inspire a wide range of audiences to raise $500 million to fuel the success of ‘All In’ – a capital campaign to fuel future generations of innovation. In partnership with Mackey Strategies and Trinity’s Advancement, Marketing, Communications, and IT teams, we delivered a virtual capital campaign hub designed to rally support, inform, and engage the entire Trinity community.
The design of the site needed to accommodate enough flexibility to integrate campaign branding that was being developed on a parallel track.
Most importantly, the site needed to inspire engagement, response, and impact.
We ran a streamlined strategic discovery process, where we researched capital campaign goals and priorities. We studied the existing website framework and standards and determined new content types that needed to be developed. We recommended an information architecture. During this phase, we also took inventory of existing stories and content that could be repurposed as part of our overall campaign content strategy.
Our design process centered around a sense of momentum, movement, and calls to action. Knowing that fundraising is a human-centered process, we primarily focused on storytelling opportunities through the lens of campaign leadership, students, faculty, and donors.
ERI developed the site within its existing framework while introducing a new look and feel. We also introduced new components and interactive experiences like an animated connecting line between content areas, an interactive dollar-raised counter that dynamically displays Trinity’s donation achievements, and tasteful micro animations throughout the site.
The team at ERI Design were thoughtful, creative, professional, and thorough. I was impressed by their expertise and their ability to work collaboratively with a range of partners on our recent website project. They designed an elegant solution for a site that needed to stand alone, yet still be part of our existing web presence, while also positioning us for growth in future years. The implementation was seamless and their attention to detail was impeccable.
