ERI was proud to sponsor and host a special celebration at the U.S. Custom House (312 Fore Street) in Portland, Maine, on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. The event was put on by Palaver Strings, Portland’s own musician-led string orchestra and after-school strings education program in support of their work and in celebration of their 10th Anniversary Season.

Palaver’s musicians share artistic and administrative leadership, guided by a passion for engaging new audiences, addressing social justice issues, and amplifying underrepresented voices. Equally committed to performance and education, Palaver presents a series of live concerts and serves hundreds of students each year at the Palaver Music Center in Portland.

Celebrating 10 Years of Palaver Strings

On February 6th, the evening of celebration featured a performance by Palaver Strings in the beautiful and historic Portland Custom House followed by a community dance party led by DJ Lucy Degree and Curbside Queens.
