We are extremely proud to announce our receipt of two higher education website awards for our work for Worcester State University and Maine College of Art. For Worcester State, we received a W3 Award for our development on their myWSU portal page. And for Maine College of Art, we received a Web Marketing Association WebAward (Davey Award) for an Outstanding Website.
Here at Eri Design, we always strive to achieve a specific visual identity with each one of our clients. Not only do we craft the designs, but we make websites engaging to each core audience.
MECA Website Redesign
We designed the website for Maine College of Art with the prospective students in mind. For this reason, we developed MECA to utilize full-screen photography and videos to quickly grab the user’s attention. These visuals are accompanied by concise navigation, as well as actions to make the navigation process intuitive. All of these elements working together make it easy for prospective students to find information right on the homepage.
myWSU Portal Redesign
On the other hand, the myWSU page was designed with the current student in mind, since it’s a student portal page. The myWSU portal page utilizes a full-width dashboard that supplies students with a “resource portal” and a “bookmark” for the latest news and events around campus. The page is fully interactive, with compelling photography and messaging and animated micro-interactions. Moreover, it aggregates their Instagram feed right onto the landing page. Their new portal creates a community atmosphere, while the new design makes it easy for students to find resources.
These websites are successful for different reasons – because we take a unique approach to every one of our clients. If you have a website that you would like to be designed or re-designed, please do not hesitate to contact us for a free consultation at 508.459.1552.
