2024 Year in Review: Growth, Adventure & Gratitude

As we wrap up another incredible year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all the growth, the adventures, and the moments that made this year one for the books. At ERI, we are driven by a deep passion for digital strategy, design, and development—and the work we do wouldn’t be possible without our amazing team, partners and clients. Here’s a look back at some of the highlights:

We Grew Our Team

Introducing: Alyssa RomeroThis year, we welcomed Alyssa Romero to the team as our newest Full-Stack web developer, problem-solver, and aficionado of food, health, and travel. Alyssa’s passion for building meaningful digital experiences shines in her work—and we can’t wait to see her grow with us. Welcome, Christine Serdjenian YearwoodChampioning accessibility is at the core of ERI’s mission, and Christine elevates this pillar as our Chief Accessibility Strategist. As the Founder and CEO of UP-STAND, Christine has been a leading force for inclusivity—spearheading initiatives that make environments more accommodating for all. Her expertise and passion for accessibility will be instrumental as we merge innovative digital design with unparalleled inclusivity. Meet Kristen DeileyKristen joined us as our Marketing Intern this year—and what an addition she’s been! From her entrepreneurial journey in photography to her talent in graphic and web design, Kristen’s versatility and creativity have been invaluable. We’re so excited for her future growth and contributions to the ERI team.

Luke Brownell: Visual Storytelling MasterLuke, our seasoned Visual Designer, continues to craft compelling and timeless designs for ERI’s clients. His expertise and passion for design, paired with his devotion to family and adventure, make him a valuable player on our creative team.

Family MilestonesOur VP and Chief Strategy Officer, Raffi DerSimonian, had a special addition to his family this year, welcoming his second daughter on December 27th—rounding out his family to a quartet!

We Got Around: Next Level ERI Road Warrior-ing!

This year, our travels took us far and wide—with team members attending conferences, meeting clients, and getting inspired along the way. A few highlights included:

  • Chicago (three times!)
  • Valparaiso, Indiana to get to know an incredible institution
  • Albuquerque, NM to attend and exhibit at High Ed Web
  • Philadelphia, PA where ERI co-presented with Maureen Stokes, former Associate VP of Communications & Marketing for Worcester State University
  • Allentown, PA for a tour of Muhlenberg’s beautiful campus
  • Selinsgrove, PA to conduct our strategic discovery and in-person research for Susquehanna [pronounced Sus-kwah-hannah]
  • Park City, Utah to help raise money for the Lindsey Vonn Foundation at  the Annual ‘Party in the USA’ Gala
  • Zion National Park to get a dose of inspo and perspective building—this was one of the best team bonding trips ever. 
  • Las Vegas, NV for our maiden voyage to Las Vegas to attend the American Marketing Association Higher Education conference.
    • Vegas in summary:
      • We came (✈️). 
      • We learned (a lot! 🤓) 
      • We stayed at Caesar’s Palace (🏰). 
      • We saw a show at the Sphere (🤯). 
      • We won almost $200 on the slot machines in the hotel lobby (🎰).
      • We made some exciting new connections and friendships (🤝).

These adventures weren’t just about work—they were about bonding, exploring and finding inspiration that fuels our creativity and commitment to our clients.

We Celebrated Big Wins

Northwood University Redesign: Double Silver Award Win!ERI and Northwood University celebrated a fantastic milestone this year, winning both a w3 Silver Award and a Silver Davey Award for the Northwood.edu redesign. Launched in January of 2024, this project was about transforming Northwood’s digital presence—crafting a modern, engaging platform that drives enrollment and embodies their mission. We’re proud of this collaboration and the outstanding results: increased users, higher engagement, and a platform that truly represents Northwood’s spirit as America’s free enterprise University.

40 Under Forty RecognitionA huge shoutout to ERI President & Chief Creative Officer Erjon Metohu, who was inducted into the Worcester Business Journal’s 40 under Forty. His leadership, creativity, and dedication have been instrumental in our continued success.
